Firmware update

Firmware update is important to enable remote updating of the DynamicScreen application.

  1. Format a USB flash drive in FAT32

  2. Download the firmware corresponding to your model (link on request) and unzip it.

  3. Put the unzipped file at the root of the USB stick.

  4. Insert the USB key behind the screen

  5. Start the screen

  6. A message will appear on the screen: "Do not power off the TV during the upgrade. Waiting..."

  7. When the message says so, remove the USB key.

Installation of the application

With a USB key

  1. Download EVERY NEW INSTALLATION the latest version of the application: https://dynamicscreen-android.fra1.digitaloceanspaces.com/app-release.apk

  2. Put it at the root of the USB key.

  3. Plug the USB key behind the screen

  4. With the remote control press HOME + 1 + 6 + 6 + 8 successively and quickly.

  5. Click on FILES

  6. Navigate on the USB key then click on the .apk file.

  7. Install the application

  8. Open the application

  9. Allow access to files

  10. Link the screen to your DynamicScreen space

With an OTG cable

This faster method requires an OTG cable and Android platform-tools installed.

Steps to follow once the prerequisites are installed :

  1. Download EVERY NEW INSTALLATION the latest version of the application: https://dynamicscreen-android.fra1.digitaloceanspaces.com/app-release.apk

  2. Connect the OTG cable to your PC and to the USB OTG port on the screen.

  3. Open your console

  4. Type adb install -g -r app-arm64-v8a-release.apk

  5. Once installed, type adb shell am start -n xyz.dynamicscreen.android/xyz.dynamicscreen.android.MainActivity

  6. Link the screen to your DynamicScreen space
